This same Rilsan® Polyamide 11 material can also be used as a thermoplastic composite matrix in type V hydrogen tanks. Arkema’s Piezotech® flexible sensors are a durable and sensitive alternative to ceramic sensors used on hydrogen tanks to monitor the health of the system. In electrified vehicles, Arkema has a range of solutions for both inside and outside of the battery cell, including Kynar® PVDF for cathode binders and separator coatings.
